When Chip Moreno first arrived in the cobblestone streets of Cuenca, he felt the same enchantment that draws thousands of North Americans to Ecuador every year. But as he navigated the complex labyrinth of visa applications, cédulas, and legal translations, he noticed a recurring theme: the "lost in translation" gap.
Local legal offices understood the law, but didn't always grasp the urgency and clarity required by foreign professionals and retirees. Conversely, foreign consultants often lacked the deep-rooted local connections necessary to actually get things done.
Chip founded EcuaPass to combine clear North American-style communication with hands-on, on-the-ground document and process coordination in Ecuador. EcuaPass is an independent administrative visa-support service, not a law firm.
