Eligibility & What You Need
Family relationship
You must be a relative within the second degree of consanguinity or affinity of an Ecuadorian citizen or a foreigner with permanent residency in Ecuador.
Valid passport
Valid passport with at least 6 months remaining at the time of application.
Color photo
Passport-style color photo (5 x 5 cm, white background, JPG under 1 MB).
Criminal background check
Original criminal record from your country of origin or countries of residence in the last 5 years, apostilled or legalized, translated, and valid for 180 days (18+ only).
Proof of relationship
Birth, marriage, or other official documents proving the family relationship, apostilled or legalized and translated as needed.
Lawful means of life
Proof of lawful means of support as required by Acuerdo Ministerial No. 70 of 28 June 2024.
Government fees
$50 visa application + $175 visa grant = $225 total.
